Description
So Hip It Hurts is downtown Toronto's oldest and best skate and snowboard shop, specializing in those hard to find items. Far removed from the big chain Walmart of skate shops, and the generic slat walled, cookie cutter shops that are here today and gone tomorrow, So Hip stands in a class all its own. This is very apparent from the moment you walk in. Aside from our vast selection of shoes, apparel, and row upon row of boards, we have a multitude of eye candy that adorns our walls. Things like original Tony Hawk decks, vintage skateboards with clay wheels, to first release Burton snowboards from the 70's. Or our "wall of fame" signed by celebrity So Hip shoppers such as Robin Williams, Wayne Gretzky, Jack Johnson, Bono, and Adam Sandler just to name a few. So Hip caters to the more mature, discerning boarder with a refined taste for those obscure pieces. We not only pride ourselves on our broad range of select skate and snow brands, but our genuine & friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always eager & more than happy to help. Most shops have this "holier than thou" attitude, but not here. We are happy to assist & glad you came. No high sales pressure tactics here either, our product sells itself. With 30 years in the making, not only does this shop have history and a loyal following, but it is considered by locals and tourists as a "go to" iconic Toronto Landmark.
